The school environment can rise learning for Swedish children.

The school is the country's largest workplace. Our children and youth also spend a significant part of their waking hours here. When only 39 percent of the country's eighth-graders report a sense of calm in the classroom, and teachers leave the profession due to stress, the work on the physical environment needs to be taken seriously. This is stated by Henrik Håkansson, CEO of the lighting company Aura Light.
Aura Light joins Science Based Targets initiative

That's why we've taken the next big step in our sustainability work and joined the Science-Based Targets initiative to set clear targets to reduce our operations' direct emissions by 2030. We are also actively working towards three of the UN's global sustainable development goals to promote a sustainable environment throughout our value chain. By incorporating innovation and knowledge, we can offer sustainable lighting solutions that significantly contribute to good health and well-being. We understand that energy conservation helps reduce our carbon footprint, and that's why we promote low energy consumption.
Modern IP44 luminaire designed with focus on sustainability

The recently launched Kleva, developed by Aura Light's product team in Vimmerby, is a modern and minimalistic IP44-rated lighting fixture with high performance. From concept to the final product, excellent lighting characteristics, sustainability, and energy efficiency have been the key factors reflected in the end result. The luminaire has a low carbon footprint. Kleva is versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications, from general spaces to industrial and warehouse environments. Its name is inspired by Kleva beach, part of the world heritage site in southern Öland, Sweden.
New CEO and Chairman of the Board at Aura Light

We are pleased to announce that Henrik Håkansson, most recently CEO of the listed company Arla Plast, has been appointed as CEO of Aura Light International as of October 1, 2022. At the same time, Fredrik von Oelreich, member of the Board of Directors of Aura Light, will take over the role as Chairman of the Board.
Aura Light equips 125 of Hornbach's facilities with LED lighting

Together with the Swedish lighting manufacturer, Hornbach Baumarkt AG converts the majority of its DIY- and garden stores in Europe to environmentally friendly LED technology. HORNBACH Baumarkt AG, part of the Hornbach Group, currently operates 169 do-it-yourself stores with garden centers and two specialty stores in nine European countries, including 98 locations in Germany. 125 of these have now been rebuilt and equipped with LED lighting in an extensive project.
Cemdag acquires the Noral brand from Aura Light

As of May 24, the Turkish lighting company Cemdag acquired the Noral brand from Aura Light. Cemdag are specialists in outdoor lighting and with the acquisition of Noral they will expand their business in Europe and invest in Noral's future. Noral consists of high-quality and classic outdoor luminaires for park and street lighting.
New industry lighting from Sweden

Aura Light expands its product family for industrial lighting with Helags, a lighting fixture primarily for industry but also for a number of other application areas as it fits in rooms with both high and low ceilings. In collaboration with Hydro, we use low-carbon aluminum that lowers the product's climate footprint. Together with the popular industrial luminaire Sarek, Aura Light now offers a complete range of industrial lighting for the professional market. Helags and Sarek are both designed by our development team in Sweden, where the luminaires are also produced.
Six out of ten classrooms may have outdated lighting

Fluorescent lamps make up a large part of the lighting in Sweden's schools, according to a survey conducted by Aura Light. From next year, fluorescent lamps will be phased out, in accordance with EU directives to remove the most resource-intensive products from the market.
Bright lines that creates opportunities

Aura Light presents the new product family Sevede, a luminaire with endless possibilities for creative lighting solutions in interior environments. Sevede is developed, designed and produced in our facility in Vimmerby. Throughout the project, sustainability and technology have been in focus, which has led to well-balanced material choices and suppliers. The name is inspired by an old district in Småland named Sevede, which had its headquarters in Vimmerby.
Peter Mannhart appointed new CEO at Aura Light

Peter Mannhart has been appointed the new CEO of Aura Light International AB. Peter has extensive experience from different management roles in the lighting industry and has worked for both OSRAM and LEDVANCE. With his solid background, he will now lead Aura Light into a phase of further growth. Peter started in his new position 20th of February.
